I have been interested in scenery and landscapes ever since spending some time on the S.C. coastline. After growing up in Michigan, the new diversity of landscapes and wildlife on the coast was enough to spark a creative desire to capture what I could on film.
Now that I live in western N.C. there’s a whole new region to explore and capture. The Blue Ridge Mountains offer a colorful topography that begs to be photographed. The spring bloom, fall colors, year-round flowing rivers, the unpredictable weather, and the elevation changes keep your eyes busy and your legs moving looking for what’s around the next bend in the trail.
The Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, and the hundreds of miles of hiking trails that wind in and out of these areas never leave you with out someplace new to challenge your senses.
Taking photographs is my peaceful pastime and brings out a joy that I have not found doing anything else. Most of all, it is fun, and fun should be shared! So please, enjoy what you see and wander as I do.
