Through My Lens

Chestnuts Over an Open Fire

From El Cap meadow in (fairly) early morning sun, this big granite formation shows off all its crevasses, lines, shadows, and size. What an amazing formation.

Yosemite Valley from Above

Yosemite NP (18), originally uploaded by Appalachian Encounters.

Every once in a while I get to venture out to the other side of the country and see the grand sites. This time it was to Yosemite National Park. This is a view of Half Dome and the valley from atop Glacier Point during sunset. What a view!
